More Than A Few Good Men and Women

Lou Gehrig and Stephen Hawking. Morrie Schwarz, of Mitch Albom's Tuesdays with Morrie. Bruce Edwards, Tom Watson's longtime caddie. They are a few ALS patients whose stories of courage and perseverance are well-known.

Yet there are so many more stories, so many more patients--perhaps less renowned, but every bit as inspiring as their famous counterparts.

ALS affects over 350,000 of the world’s population, and it kills over 100,000 every year. They are like you. They love and are loved. They are husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters. They are ordinary people thrust into extraordinary circumstances.

Each and every one of those patients has a story to tell. Here are links to just a few of them.
